TV show description:
This crime drama has a unique twist in that it doesn’t focus on who committed a crime, but why the crime was committed in the first place. As the mystery unfolds, winding between revealing flashbacks and present time, viewers navigate the twisted and complicated maze of each murder, solving the puzzle alongside the detectives, piecing together more of the mysterious connections that drove the killer to commit murder.
When a murder is committed, Detectives Angie Flynn (Kristin Lehman) and Oscar Vega (Louis Ferreira) are on the case, looking for clues that will lead them to the killer.
Sexy and feisty, Angie is a thirty-something single mom from the wrong side of the tracks who proves that appearances can be deceiving. Oscar is intelligent, thoughtful, methodical and confident. He comes from a wealthy family and turned his back on an expensive Harvard Divinity School education to join the police force (a change of heart from his initial choice of joining the priesthood).
Others on the homicide team are: Doctor Betty Rogers (Lauren Holly), a medical examiner with a quirky sense of humor that belies the grimness of her daily job. Staff Sergeant Boyd Bloom (Roger Cross), the Squad Room Supervisor who was sidelined from the streets a few years earlier by a bullet. Detective Brian Lucas (Brendan Penny), a young eager beaver detective and newlywed who’s eager to learn and is fascinated about the often grisly procedures.
Angie doesn’t suffer fools or authority figures lightly. At home, Angie only wants the best for her teenage son, Manny (Cameron Bright), who is one of the few things in life that she feels she did right. But as far as Manny’s concerned, being the son of a cop is not the easiest gig in the world.

What do you think? Do you like the Motive TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
I love the show. Please bring it back!!!
Motive is Terrific!!
Great actors. Super interpersonal interplay. Imaginative premise. PLEASE SAVE THIS SHOW
With all the reality crap, Motive was a bright spot for network television. A fresh approach to crime dramas. I really liked it. It should have had more time to develop a following.
One of the best shows on…so gritty and fast-paced! Don’t cancel..too many good shows are tossed away!
I really liked this show. I’m a huge cop show fan and this show has a unique twist. More about the why than the how. The cast seems to have a great rapport. I hope it comes back!!
its a very interesting show, its like the old show columbo. it shows u the victim and the killer in the beging u have to put the two partys connetion togrther.a unlikely person is the killer . and why he o she did the killing. very good show.KEEP IT ON THE AIR .GIVE IT A FARE SHOT.
This show caught my attention. Not like the other crime shows. Love how it works backwards. Greatly entertaining!
My whole family loves this show! It’s so imaginative and the concept is unique. We love all the whole cast. Please, lets keep this show on. It was so refreshing and entertaining. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like it.
Thanks
Love Motive, Love Canadian Cop shows like Rookie Blue, too. Keep this on!!!!
My friends and family liked the show but can’t stand that the main character eats with her mouth open and talks all the time with her mouth full. It’s disgusting and we all can’t watch any longer!! Sorry it was a good show
Please, please keep Motive on. It’s one of the best cop shows!
I’m a devoted fan of Motive and do hope that it will be renewed. After watching some of the other detective shows that have been around for to many seasons, this is very refreshing as to the concept. The acting is wonderful and very convincing.
If I had my choose I would not renew a show such as Castle or the Mentalist.
PLEASE do not cancel MOTIVE! I have been watching cop shows for a lifetime. Motive is different & refreshing to see how detectives work. Angie is a great interesting smart woman. I am enjoying watching the matching of these partners!
Please don’t cancel Motive, it’s a great show!! I love how we find out WHO and WHERE to begin with then have to figure out WHY!!!
ONE OF ABC GOOD SHOWS.DO NOT CANCEL
