Ms. Fisher is taking on the swingin’ ’60s. Acorn TV just announced the premiere date for their new TV show, Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries.
A spinoff of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, the drama stars Geraldine Hakewill as Peregrine Fisher, a young woman who sets out to become a private detective like her aunt, Phryne Fisher. The cast also includes Joel Jackson.
Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries premieres on Acorn TV on April 29th.

Sounds awful. I am a child of the 60s. Few series set then make it.
I, too, am a child of the 60’s but they did very well. I quite enjoyed it and am hoping for more episodes.
A brilliant modern miss fiher series, i really hope there will be further episodes for a few years. It is a great contrast to the original miss fisher. I like both projected eras both portrayed wonderfully. Great escapism from the current and future world.
I watched the series and it grows on you. I also loved the original. I think it should definitely continue and be renewed.
My wife and I ABSOLUTELY want the series to continue.
We were extremely disappointed that the original series was discontinued.
