How’s Murphy’s comeback during the 11th season of the Murphy Brown TV show on CBS? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Murphy Brown is cancelled or renewed for season 12. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. A CBS sitcom revival, Murphy Brown stars original cast members Candice Bergen, Grant Shaud, Faith Ford, and Joe Regalbuto, alongside Nik Dodani, Jake McDorman, Adan Rocha. and Tyne Daly. Amidst daily attacks on the press, Murphy Brown (Bergen) decides to forsake retirement for a new CNC morning show, Murphy in the Morning. She reunites the old FYI gang, Corky Sherwood (Ford), Frank Fontana (Regalbuto), and Miles Silverberg (Shaud) for her new endeavor, as well as social media director Pat Patel (Dodani), and is determined to prioritize solid reporting over sensationalism. They still decompress at Phil’s bar, which is now run by his sister, Phyllis (Daly), with help from college student, Miguel (Rocha), a “Dreamer” from Mexico. Meanwhile, Murphy’s son, Avery (McDorman), is all grown up and following a bit too closely in mom’s footsteps.

Love this show! We laugh out loud as we watch it each week. We think it’s as good, maybe better, than the original!

Too one sided when it comes to the political attacks. It is painful to watch. Murphy Brown needs to just get off the stage… her time is past. The old show was a lot funnier and not so stiff.
The acting of Candice is really bad— very unbelievable— no suspension of disbelief .

Maybe it’s just me, but Candice seems to have lost her verve and snappiness that was the highlight of the original show. Now she is stiff and moves like an old lady. Her timing seems off.
I keep hoping she’ll snap into pace!
The old Murphy Brown Show was really fun to watch and I really enjoyed it. The new show is not funny with all of the political bull crap. Sorry – but you lost this big Murphy Brown fan.
I was really looking forward to the reboot of Murphy Brown. I loved it before but it’s not the same. I watched two new shows so far. It’s just not funny and it’s adding to the political overload we experience today. Count me out. Sorry.

I am disappointed. I loved the old Murphy Brown, but this reboot is so annoying, it is so political everyday we hear this stuff on the news, I would like to have some laughs and be entertained and not have to listen to this political crap. If this is an indication of what the show will be about count me out. I am sick of all this hatred.
Murphy Brown has ALWAYS been political. That’s the basis of the show in the 80s and 90s.

Wow, this reboot was great! Haven’t laughed so hard in a really long time. Funny and brilliant. I think people probably didn’t realize it was on yet and I’m sure it will catch fire. It should. Please renew.
