Does Max have more than he can handle in the second season of the New Amsterdam TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like New Amsterdam is cancelled or renewed for season three. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the season two episodes of New Amsterdam for us here. *Status update below.
An NBC medical drama series, New Amsterdam stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, and Tyler Labine. Doctor Max Goodwin (Eggold) is a caring physician whose goal is to fix a broken medical system and to provide exceptional care to the people who need it most. He inspires (almost) everyone around him, and will stop at nothing to breathe new life into the understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated New Amsterdam Medical Center. Those working with Max include Dr. Lauren Bloom (Montgomery), the head of the ER; oncologist Dr. Helen Sharpe (Agyeman); cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Floyd Reynolds (Sims); psychiatrist Dr. Iggy Frome (Labine); and Dr. Vijay Kapoor (Kher), head of the Neurological Department.

*1/11/20 update: NBC has renewed New Amsterdam for three additional years — seasons three, four, and five — which will take it through the 2022-23 television season.
I love this show it is amazing how he does so much for.this hospital and now he has the baby. I want to.see how this story line will go on please give us another season this show is amazing.
I find this drama to be excellent & quite educational. It should not be cancelled. Like BLUFF CITY LAW should not be cancelled as it has a higher rating. Both are superb in writing.
I’ve been following Ryan Eggold since he was on The Blacklist. It was sad when they got rid of him there (or he quit). The same would be true if New Amsterdam was cancelled! I watch it on Hulu and I get excited when I wake up every Tuesday morning knowing that a new episode is waiting for me. Please please please do NOT cancel this awesome show. I love everything about this show! I’m dying to see how the Max/Helen storyline plays out.
Absolutely love this show and look forward to seeing it each week. A piece of my heart is very sad when each season ends and I can hardly wait until it’s return! I wish all hospitals would learn from this show…I love the characters, actors, and the stories, especially the heroic ideas and successes! Keep up the great work with great family entertainment!

This is my absolutely favorite show! I love the drama and the feel good solutions. I love crying when things don’t turn out. I love the characters Dr. Sharpe, Dr. Kapoor and Max the most. I like all the characters. I love the variety of personalities and themes. The topics are timely & relatable. The acting is top quality. Please renew for another season.
Fantastic show. I’m glad you show inside and outside hospital issues. You show that people have life’s out of the hospital. Also, how some of them are battling both in and out hospital. I wish hospital were able to do what Amsterdam is doing. I think more people would go to hospital, to catch stuff before it gets too late and more costly
A very thoughtful and well crafted show. The characters are real and the writing enables the actors to show many dimensions of their characters.

The characters in New Amsterdam are the medical staff I wish really existed. I would go there. As least I can dream for an hour a week.
