DC Comics has a surprise in store for 2017. TVLine reports the media juggernaut plans to announced a new TV series soon.
As of now, DC has several shows on multiple networks, including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW and Gotham and Lucifer on FOX.
This past weekend, DC Comics president Geoff Johns posted a message on Twitter teasing a new DC series. However, the subject and the network remain a mystery:
5) More #DCTV @CW_TheFlash @CW_Arrow @Gotham @TheCW_Legends @LuciferonFOX @TheCWSupergirl and many more! One which will be announced soon…

Meanwhile, Legends of Tomorrow returns with new episodes on January 24th, season two of Supergirl returns on January 23rd, season three of The Flash comes back on January 24th, Arrow returns with new episodes on January 25th, Gotham’s third season returns on January 16th, and season two of Lucifer also returns with new episodes on January 16th.
What do you think? Are you fan of DC Comics TV series? What do you think the new TV show will be?
Most if these series are pretty tired… Sans ‘Lucifer’ that seems to be getting better and better with every episode… And Gotham has shown a big improvement for S3 (as S2 was a convoluted mess).
Supergirl was alright on CBS, but CW has pretty much ruined it… The Flash, LOT, Arrow… All shows I have major problems with. iZombie started off great, but S2 was a mess. This is definitely a trend I wish would stop or at least bring an air of quality back to it… After all it’s all about QUALITY not QUANTITY!
How about Superman?
What about stopping this insane trend in making anyone with a creative thought not to make superhero kinds of shows! If it’s not reality shows it’s this @&@&&&!
Gotham is by far the best show on tv…on any channel. Such superior set design and casting!
