What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Night Shift stars Robert Bailey Jr., Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Brendan Fehr, Scott Wolf, Tanaya Beatty, and JR Lemon, with Mark Consuelos recurring in season four. Although they’re kind of quirky, San Antonio Memorial’s emergency room night shift staff is extraordinary. They’ll risk almost anything to save their patients. Season three ended with Paul Cummings (Bailey) leading a staff walk-out after his father bought the hospital and fired Topher. Meanwhile, overseas, TC Callahan (Macken) was knocked out, during a refugee camp bombing. The fourth season picks up two days later, with everyone dealing with the consequences of their decisions. In Syria, TC’s proclivity for chaos helps him save people.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of The Night Shift averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.96 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 32% and down by 21%, respectively. Find out how The Night Shift stacks up against other NBC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Although season four premiered with much lower numbers than last season, it is still a bit too early to use the ratings to predict whether NBC will cancel or renew The Night Shift for season five. That said, this show’s audience has declined from year to year, particularly in its demo ratings. While I haven’t left my perch, my interest and appetite are piqued. I’m totally all about this show. I feel connected to every actor. Please don’t cancel this show. I Need this show!!! I cried really hard at the end of season 4 and thinking it was the end made me cry harder.
Please renew Night Shift for 2018. The character development has finally reached a point where fans are starting to care and follow what happens to their favorites. It is silly at times, however, shows can be silly, serious, learning all in one episode and Night Shift certainly accomplishes this. Would love to see it return!
Please don’t cancel this show.I have been watching it since season 1 and have not missed a show. This is my favorite medical show right now since house md stopped. I love medical drama I to watch the shows, and read the books. I’m going to look forward to hearing that there will be another season with more than 10 episodes (I hope) and there will be seasons 6,7,8etc… Plus the way Jordan look at TC . I think she needs to see him more lol. Let’s go TEAM NIGHT SHIFT!!!!!!!!!!
Please do NOT cancel!! This is me and my husbands favorite show to watch together. My husband isn’t someone who cares a lot about shows or even TV for that matter but he absolutely loves The Night Shift! We love the cast and the great stories! Please bring it back. We are already sad that this season is over

I love this tv show. Wish is was on for a full season, actually itreminds me of the tv show ER and it was very successful! Powers that be at NBC please don’t cancel it. Please please please don’t cancel this show! It is amazing I love the cast and story line…with all the stupid realty show on tv it is hard to come across a really good and interesting show…i need a season 5!
