It’s finally official. The No Tomorrow TV show has been cancelled. There will be no tomorrow and no season two on The CW. The series stars Tori Anderson as Evie Covington and Joshua Sasse as Xavier Holliday. The No Tomorrow season one and now series finale aired on January 17, 2017, and the cancellation has been expected for quite some time.
A rom-com fantasy, No Tomorrow centers on Type-A Evie, who starts to look at her life and the world differently, thanks to the free-spirited Xavier. He believes an asteroid will destroy the world in eight months, so he lives his life to its fullest. The CW cast includes Jesse Rath, Amy Pietz, Jonathan Langdon, and Sarayu Blue.
No Tomorrow: A Look at the Ratings
The first and only season of No Tomorrow averaged a 0.26 in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and drew an average total audience of 794,000, so the cancellation makes sense. The comedy series was consistently among The CW’s lowest rated TV shows.
Variety and Deadline have confirmed that along with No Tomorrow, The CW has also cancelled Frequency. Details here.
Back in January, CW exec. Mark Pedowitz said that if the shows were cancelled, the network would provide closure for them, in the form of digital tagd, for each series.
What do you think? Did you watch the first season of the No Tomorrow TV series? Should The CW have cancelled or renewed it for a second season?
They need to renew both No Tomorrow and Frequency for a second season, I loved watching those two shows, have them come on together.
So sad to hear no second season:( I really thought was a great comedy, very funny and heartwarming with a lil romance! So bummed. I tried telling everyone to give good ratings on Netflix so maybe a second season!
I fell in love with this show!! So so sad to find out it’s been cancelled!!
I loved the show it shouldn’t have been cancelled
I loved it, I’m sorry to see it go. But if it’s not coming back, can I have some of Evie’s clothes?
What a shame! It’s a really great show, makes you realize life really is to short to wait for great things to happen. You really have to make them happen yourself. So inspiring, and now cancelling with such a cliffhanger! Come on, keep the show alive! Let’s set up a Facebook page for the cast and all of the fans!
If someone set up a Facebook for it I would be so happy. I think snow is so inspirational and could really help many people
This is so upsetting, we have been waiting for season 2 to come out for so long. What a shame, no tomorrow was hilarious! Everyone who I suggested the show to also agreed.
Extremely disagree. I just can eat across this show a couple weeks ago and it became my favorite show. So light-hearted, witty, and inspiring. This move is a mistake. I think Netflix should pick it up and keep it going!
Everyone is saying that, but going where? What more can happen, just a couple of episodes in and it was clear it had no future, heh.
*what I don’t get is why they hadn’t wrapped it up (better)
I loved the show it shouldn’t have been cancelled
I really enjoyed this show and was looking forward to season two. So sorry it was cancelled.
I really enjoyed this show
I really enjoyed this show
I really enjoyed this show. It made me want to go out and “live” more. Great shows don’t seem to advertise and then are surprised when not many people watch them. Sorry to see this show go.
I loved it. I want to see what happens. Sad about it being cancelled. Because of that show I went sky diving. It made realize two things life is short and enjoy every minute. Please reconsider
RE-CONSIDER!!!!!! This show was SO original, SO uplifting, SO imaginative, SO thought provoking, SO well done, SO Entertaining. Fabulous acting, comedy, characters and writing. My family looked forward to it and couldn’t wait to see what was next on their lists and situations that arose. It’s ‘a bit far fetched’ storylines made you totter between reality and fantasy, like the birthday party of several decades of cakes episode. This show SO very easily could have been a train wreck. However, every aspect was obviously handled with great care creating something light-hearted while nudging you to ask yourself some interesting questions… Read more »
