Canoe Believe It? –Monday, May 6, 2019 10:00 PM ET/PT
Grace Mitchell meets a couple who recently purchased a Midcentury Modern lake house with a rich history but in desperate need of some work. She begins by creating a unique kitchen backsplash made from the wood of a basketball court as a tribute to where the couple first met before giving Mr. Charlie the hefty task of hanging custom canoe light holders from the 16-foot ceilings. The exterior of the home also gets an entire revamp that turns the formerly decrepit party house into a family home rich with the couple’s love for each other and for the water.”
What do you think? Have you seen One of a Kind? What have been your favorite renovations?
5/2/19 update: A representative has let us know that the press release was inaccurate. This will be the “season finale”, not the “series finale”.
Renewal Grace is great. Please keep her! She thinks out the box. She makes me smile. She is so creative. Love her show.
I love Grace and this show is so different from the usual fixup houses. She has heart and cares and makes the homes about the people living there. Some places on tv are pretty but lack personality. She brings the peoples stories to the house. Give her a chance and let more people tune in to get to know her. I only wish she could go to Ohio and do mine. Love this show. From Cleveland
One of the best home improve shows that I seen
Love letters made into wallpaper totally awesome!
I’m so glad “One of a Kind” is coming back. Grace’s intuitive and deeply personal designs are lovely. But, could you please cut back on scenes where her crew members treat her with eye-rolling and snarky comments or attitudes for her artistic decisions? She’s obviously talented and their “humoring “ her or even their gentle disdain is getting tiresome enough for me to consider not watching any more. Thanks!
One of a kind, is one of my favorite shows. Recently, Grace was doing some re-modeling to a 60’s home and the oven was the same Thermadore that I had replaced last year. I just thought it was very ironic.
