What’s next for Outlander? Starz chief Chris Albrecht recently weighed in on the future of the TV series, Deadline reports.
The historical drama follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a WWII nurse who is transported to 18th century Scotland. The cast also includes Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Gary Lewis, Annette Badland, Stephen Walters, and Laura Donnelly.
At this year’s TCA winter press tour, Albrecht said he isn’t worried about Outlander ending anytime soon:
“I wouldn’t worry. … There are ten books and the show’s going amazingly. I think our biggest problem will be making sure that we don’t kill Caitriona and Sam along the way, they are working so hard, especially Caitriona, she’s amazing. The two of them are fantastic and so deserving of the accolades that they’ve gotten. We have joined legion of fans for Outlander around the world and our partners at Sony and we are having very productive discussions around the future of the show.”
Starz has already renewed Outlander for a fourth season, which will premiere sometime later this year.

Outlander is the best show ever. The acting is superb. The writers do a great job each week taking an 800+ page historical fiction, time travel, love story, spanning 200 years and condensing it into only 13 episodes. I am always left wanting more. Please do not cancel Outlander. We want to see season 5,6,7,8,9 and possibly 10. It is by far the best show on TV. And it is our reason to subscribe to Starz.
This is an incredibly good show. My favorite TV show ever! The acting is the best. Catriona and Sam deserve Emmy awards every year this series is on. Please please please finish the story, and if it takes forever that’s even better!!
Love the series! Watch it multiple times. Recommend it to anyone who will listen. Am a member of the Facebook Outlander group. Will continue watching series is long as Starz carries it. Quality productions, well cast and so well acted.
Please, Please, Please finish the series!! Love the show. Love the books. I haven’t stopped reading them over and over since my husband found the show in 2016.
This is a good series following a great set of books. Please finish them out!
After what I would call a relatively slow start to the series, I have become a huge fan after binge watching the 1st 3 seasons. Please keep it going as a season for each book of Diana Gabaldon.

YES!!! I have read all the books and have watched all seasons and recorded them to re-watch during “droutlander” time. The seasons are never long enough! My husband and I love it. Cait & Sam as Claire & Jamie are totally perfect for the characters. FAVORITE series ever on TV!
My husband and I will watch Outlander hopefully through book 10. It’s our favorite show to watch together. Such a fun concept with the time travel. Please keep all the seasons coming!

I’ll watch Outlander for as long as its on the air. I’m a TV junkie and this is,the 1st show that I can’t go without daily! I’m a dedicated, obsessed fan who will constantly recruit others to watch . It’s the best series to ever grace our TV screens. Keep the seasins coming!!!!
