CBS already has Blue Bloods focusing on one family fighting crime and living their lives together, and now a new series is in development for the network. Protect and Serve will follow a Hispanic family living in Los Angeles.

The bonds of blood are not all that connect the family though. According to Deadline, the series will focus on “a multi-generational family working in law enforcement.” The series is coming from the same creative team behind Blue Bloods.

Leonard Goldberg is executive producer on the new series, and Elizabeth Davis Beall from Scorpion will write and executive produce as well.
