What’s This TV Show About?
A Showtime crime drama, Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight, Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Devon Bagby. Susan Sarandon, Kim Raver, C. Thomas Howell, Brian White, Adina Porter, Rhys Coiro, Lili Simmons, Tara Buck, and Dominique Columbus guest star in season five.
Ray Donovan centers on L.A.’s best professional fixer. It’s up to Ray (Schreiber) to make the biggest problems of the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. In the fifth season, Ray must attend a court-ordered anger management program, following a bar fight. Meanwhile, as the wedding of Terry (Marsan) and Maureen (Buck) looms, Mickey (Voight), Bunchy (Mihok), and Daryll (Hall) get ready for it. Eventually, Ray is drawn deeper into Sam Winslow’s (Sarandon) web.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Ray Donovan averaged a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.14 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 17% and down by 7%, respectively. Find out how Ray Donovan stacks up against other Showtime TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will Showtime cancel or renew Ray Donovan for a sixth season? Despite lower numbers, in its fourth season, it was still a top-three performer for the premium cable channel. Since Showtime relies on paid subscribers, rather than ad revenue, it needs to attract and retain viewers. Last September, showrunner David Hollander said that although he is thinking about the endgame, he thinks the show could go beyond season five, if the network is willing. I think Ray Donovan will nab a sixth season renewal. I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and will update this page as needed. Subscribe for free updates on any Ray Donovan cancellation or renewal news.

Please renew Ray Donovan for a sixth season. It is one of the best written shows, and the actors are wonderful in developing characters you care about. This show does not get the attention it deserves.

WE have really enjoyed the Ray Donavan show…all the characters are great, acting is really good. Not every episode is a 10, but most of them are! It sucked that Abby died..really did not like that. I want the brothers to end up being OK…as well as the kids…all the characters are awesome! want something good to happen to all of them. And Ray…he needs some peace in his life..his is amazing. Just got my regular weekly Showtime email on what is going on some of the shows and it said the show called “Episodes” is upcoming the SERIES FINALE.
However on “Ray Donovan” it said “SEASON FINALE”. Seeing how they used the words “Season vs. Series” tells me that we are looking at a season 6 of Ray Donovan.
I want more Ray. I say renew even without Abby
I’, just LOOKING for a reason to cancel Showtime due to rising costs and rotten movies. If they cancel Ray Donovan, that’ll be it! I keep Showtime just for that show! Best thing on TV, for my money

Hope it is renewed another season. Looking for a season 6
This show just keeps getting better! They added some comic relief in season 4 mostly through Mickey and now, in season 5, we get a multi-dimensional protagonist who shows a full range of human emotions, such as devotion, humor and love revealed as we witness the loss of his wife. The flashbacks create a powerful message to seize the moment because life can change quickly. This combined with Ray’s already established grit makes for a very believable, tough yet sympathetic character and takes him well beyond the cheating thug that he was in the early seasons. I want more!
I love the show and found this site looking to see if they have agreed to a 6th season. Only on season 4 right now but just read they killed Abby off and it’s flash backs for season 5??? Please say it isn’t so!! Who got paid for that idiotic idea?
