What’s This TV Show About?
A FOX medical drama, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, Glenn Morshower, and Bruce Greenwood. The series centers on resident Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Resident on FOX averaged a 0.94 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.02 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 8% in the demo and up by 11% in viewership. Find out how The Resident stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Will FOX cancel or renew The Resident for season three? The ratings aren’t great but FOX has very few drama series on their schedule. I’m sure it will be renewed at this point. As a nurse in the healthcare industry this show is not only entertaining but accurate in so many ways. This show should definitely be renewed and im looking forward to watching a third season!

This is outrageous! The Resident is our favorite tv show! Watching the Golden Globes last night, I wondered why the leading actors or the show were not nominated for awards. ????? What’s wrong, Big Pharma and the AMA pressing hard on FOX to shut down this show? You want drama? There is none better. I love this show! I watch mainly reality shows but this is the one drama I tune in for each week. My daughter is the one who got me started so there seems to be cross-generational interest. Please do not cancel this show!
