Get ready for more of Kevin Keller’s trademark snark. TV Line reports Casey Cott, who recurred as the best friend of Better Cooper (Lili Reinhart) in season one of Riverdale, has been promoted to a series regular, for the second season on The CW.  

Riverdale follows an edgy, live-action version of the Archie Comics gang. The CW‘s dark teen mystery drama also stars Luke Perry, KJ Apa, Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Mädchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, and Madelaine Petsch.

As previously reported, Mark Consuelos, a veteran of the cancelled FOX baseball drama, Pitch, is joining Riverdale in the second season as Veronica’s dad, Hiram Lodge.

And earlier this week, we reported Charles Melton has been re-cast as Reggie Mantle. Ross Butler recurred in the role, in the first season, but had to exit, due to other commitments. Butler also plays Zach Dempsey, in 13 Reasons Why, which was renewed for a second season on Netflix.
