Looks like Scorpion will be back for a new round of missions. Today, CBS announced they’ve renewed the series for a third season, which will air during the 2016-2017 season.
Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Katharine McPhee, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham and Eddie Kaye Thomas as a team of experts who use their abilities and skills to help solve complex global problems.
Currently in its second season, the action drama is performing strongly in the ratings, with a 1.81 average in the 18-49 demo and about 9.83 million viewers per episode so far. For comparison, last season received an average of 10.96 million viewers per episode and a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Today, the network announced 2016-17 season renewals of 10 other shows as well — 2 Broke Girls, The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Madam Secretary, Mom, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, and Survivor.

Great to see the “scorpion” has been picked up for season three. My husband and watched every week, very entertaining and we are in our 70’s.

Love the show and all the people. I even looked up the real Walter obtain and found him very intreging. He is a brilliant man but if he is anything like the character very head strong. This show is not just entertaining its very educating please don’t cancel
I have not and WILL NOT miss one episode. Love every character! But would say Paige is my favorite.
Loved the show from the from the pilot episode. And haven’t missed one episode since. My favorite character is Eddie Kaye Thomas (A.K.A. Toby) I can remember his character in the American Pie movies. He brings a little comedy to the series.
