Looks like Scorpion will be back for a new round of missions. Today, CBS announced they’ve renewed the series for a third season, which will air during the 2016-2017 season.
Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Katharine McPhee, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham and Eddie Kaye Thomas as a team of experts who use their abilities and skills to help solve complex global problems.
Currently in its second season, the action drama is performing strongly in the ratings, with a 1.81 average in the 18-49 demo and about 9.83 million viewers per episode so far. For comparison, last season received an average of 10.96 million viewers per episode and a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Today, the network announced 2016-17 season renewals of 10 other shows as well — 2 Broke Girls, The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Hawaii Five-0, Madam Secretary, Mom, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, and Survivor.

I am very glad its been renewed. But I enjoy Paige’s son and the inclusion of him occasionally in a case. Why is he not mentioned as one of the cast members? Watching the relationships evolve is why I watch it.

Soo glad Scorpion will be back. Happy is definitely the most interesting character and a bad ass female role model. I love her character development the past 2 seasons.
Scorpion is one of my favorite CBS shows. My favorite character is Happy. I also would like to see Mike and Molly back as well. If Melissa doesn’t want to come back, there are many viewers who would still like to see the other characters keep the show alive. Rename it Joyce and Vince. Those two are so funny, not to mention Victoria. It is so funny and it is not full of foul language. The characters just blend. Please rethink the cancellation or maybe broker to one of the cable stations.
I also love this show and can’t wait till Monday nights to watch, keep it going.
