What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix crime anthology series, the first season of Seven Seconds stars Regina King, Clare-Hope Ashitey, Russell Hornsby, Beau Knapp, Michael Mosley, David Lyons, Raúl Castillo, Zackary Momoh, Patrick Murney, Michelle Veintimilla, Nadia Alexander, Adriana DeMeo, and Coley Mustafa Speaks. The drama unfolds in Jersey City, when a white police officer accidentally hits and critically injures Brenton Butler — an African-American teenager. After the young man dies, the ensuing cover-up only serves to ignite racially fueled community tensions. Now, assistant prosecutor KJ Harper (Ashitey) is working with Brenton’s mother, Latrice (King), to uncover the truth about this volatile case.

Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize viewership, it is difficult to predict whether Netflix will cancel or renew Seven Seconds for a second season. I don’t have a strong feeling on this one, but I will note its timely premise is somewhat similar to Shots Fired. That drama also involved a police shooting and race relations and was cancelled, after one season on FOX. Now, we just have to wait and see whether this story will appeal more to Netflix subscribers. I thought was a very good series I would like to see it continue I may not be in full agreement of the first season ended but I would like to see it continued
Sure hope to see another season of Seven Seconds to get justification on the Officers involved with the murder of Nadine and Messiah also the cover up of Brenton. Justice is not done yet. Please continue with a second series.
Yes I would like to see a second season or the other three cops is about to justice for the killings and the conspiring I didn’t like the way this ended at all they really do need to make the second season about bringing up the rest of the 3 Guys 3 policemen

I hope there’s a 2 season justice still has to be done. They still have to investigate the young girl the witness. This can’t leave people to believe that cops could get away with crimes.
It displays reality. So this is very typical in our Nation they stuck to the truth. More reason to fight for change.
i loved it. I hope they so a season 2 that’s a continuation and investigates nadines murder! It would have been great to see a cut scene at the end of Fish finding the homeless guy who might have seen something and took the dog.
Oh my god I was saying that to for fish to find the homeless guys. This cannot end this way that they all got away with it.

Please renew “Seven Seconds” for a 2nd season. First season was great. I was so into it and really wanted to smack those smug cops. I could not stop watching, that’s when you really know you have a good thing. Fish was also a great character, at first I thought what an idiot, but then I understood what he was doing and really loved his character. You have a great group of actors on this one, don’t let it go..
I would love to see a second season of Seven Seconds. Although they may have a new plot. I think it could cover several plots; just as American Crime did with it’s run. I also think more could be done with season one. Are we dismissing the fact that the three cops that got off committed three additional murders? A witness to the hit and run, a drug kingpin, and a friend of the witness. Not to mention that they are dirty cops. Yes a second season is needed.
This is an extremely powerful show. I would love to see a 2nd season.

Seven Seconds was an amazing show. Both the acting and the story were superb. The story made me sad and angry and wanting more. I hope that there can be a second season because I hated the way it ended.
Please renew this piece of work, it was so powerful to watch. Please Please. It’s the time and one more season to get those guys would be great!!!
this was one of the best shows I have seem in a very long time, the acting was superb and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Loved the killing as well

I love this show it keeps u at the edge of your seat give u emotional and angry responses it hits every nerve and emotion it’s supposed to Regina King played the heck out of this role.
I can’t wait to really understand the asst.DA she’s all over the place…
I love this show. Hope it gets renewed. Love David Lyons in it. And all the other actors are good too. Great story line.
