Telly’s Take
Based on the ratings, things already didn’t look good and then they started airing two episodes a night which smelled like a burnoff. The Viacom execs have been shuffling programs on their channels (including BET, CMT, TV Land, VH1, and MTV) so they may be okay with this big dip in the ratings as they try to establish the new Paramount Network. I’ll keep a hungry eye out and will update this page with breaking developments (and, hopefully, my supper plans). What do you think? Do you hope the The Shannara Chronicles TV show will be renewed for a third season? How do you feel about Spike/Paramount Network cancelling this TV series?
Season 1 was so much better and season 2 ending with Wil the last Shannara dead unless he managed to get jiggy with one of the female characters and there’s only one druid left and its a girl oh my. I would like to see where this is going but If it’s not renewed I could understand why.
I’d love to see the 3rd season. Very entertaining. Great characters.
This show is beyond impressive.. cast, acting, story, music, scenery all stroke the heart strings beautifully.
I would love a few more seasons.. two just isn’t enough for me.
If it’s anything to go by.. the star wars movies could take some notes on how to make great movies.. the dark vs light in Shannara Chronicles was fantastically done.
It better be back I NEED IT!!!!!!!!
I loved the first season. The second season was lacking for me. Wil and Eretria should have had more scenes together and I think killing Ander was a huge mistake (probably the worst of the season).
The series is good the books are great! The series had a tip because they switched who was airing it I didn’t even realize it was out until mid season. Switching from MTV to Spike was unexpected the show has alot of potential it just needs to be advertised effectively. The Shannara Chronicles is one of the best book series out there. Give it a real chance with advertising it will have more viewers.
Please renew this show for a few more seasons!!! I’m loving this show and was happy that Spike TV picked it up from MTV. I agree not enough people knew it moved. The books are a great series and so much to tell!
I love thus serrie one if the best i ever looked.
If they cancelled i woud ben verry sad and have no reasen to live so if youbstop this yiu have a blood on your hands
Well, I guess I don’t really “love” the show because it doesn’t follow the Shannara series very well at all and I am more of a reader than a watcher. I mean, Wil is portrayed as a wuss, Allanon didn’t actually have a daughter, Wil and Eretria married in the novels and had kids, and I can’t figure how our ‘modern’ slang survived for more than 500 years after a total catastrophe split the human race and formed ‘new’ races but hey, poetic license goes a long way on the silver screen. Anyway, regardless of that I do “like” the… Read more »
Cancell it, Nobody is watching it.
Renew it

i am totally psyched. yes we need season 3. please! stay dont go away!
Well, season 2, last episode, is a cliffhanger. (FIGURES).If they do cancel, hope they give us some closure………….. .Getting really tired of the networks making shows and cancelling because of ratings.Advertising (commercials) is not the only venue paying for the shows, people, clients, fans, pay to.so how about paying a ttention tu us for a change.
