TV show description:
Based on a novel by Stephen Hunter and the 2007 feature film, this TV show revolves around an expert marksman who is coaxed back into action for what seems like the most important mission of his lifetime.
Born the son of a Medal of Honor-winning Marine, Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe) followed his father’s footsteps into the Corps and became the greatest sniper in the history of the U.S. Marines. After several successful tours and countless heroic (though not always authorized) actions, Bob Lee was wounded in battle, both physically and psychologically — shot through the hip by the same sniper who killed his spotter and best friend, Donny Fenn.
Now three years after the shooting, the former Gunnery Sergeant is retired and living a quiet life with his supportive wife, Julie (Shantel VanSanten), and their daughter, Mary (Lexy Kolker), in Washington State. But while he no longer wears the uniform of a Marine, Bob Lee still has the heart of a warrior, and he’s still the best man behind a long gun.
It’s these qualities that send his former Marine commander, Isaac Johnson (Omar Epps), calling for help when a sniper threatens to assassinate the President. Unable to refuse the call to defend his country, Bob Lee agrees and finds himself the patsy in a massive conspiracy with world-changing stakes.
To clear his name, he will have to evade the untold resources of both the U.S. Government and the conspirators and unravel the plot behind the assassination, all the while keeping his family safe — an impossible task for any man. But then, he’s not just any man.
Other characters include ex-military bad guy Jack Payne (Eddie McClintock), FBI Special Agent Nadine Memphis (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), FBI Special Agent Claire Hopkins (Tembi Locke), FBI agent John Renlow (David Marciano), and Russian diplomat Grigory Krukov (Sean Cameron Michael).
Episode #31 — Red Light
Bob Lee attempts to put an end to Atlas, all while trying to save his marriage and tie up the remaining threads from his past; Isaac, Nadine and Harris find new roles for themselves in D.C.
First aired: September 13, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Shooter TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
RENEWED
Renewed!!
I can’t imagine why the USA network would even consider canceling Shooter. It is far and away the best program they have. Tremendous show!
Shooter should return 100%
PLEASE keep Shooter alive. Definitely one of the best shows on the small screen.
My husband & I love this show. Want renewed each season.
Shooter is the best show I’ve ever seen! Please keep it on! Josh Stewart is wonderful!
Got to bring this show back. Its one of the best shows on right now.
Have read all of Stephen Hunter’s books. Bob Lee and his Dad are excellent characters. I want to see the final episode and look forward to next year’s new episodes. Weaving Solotov as the guy who killed Donny, Bob Lee’s former spotter, and his wife’s former husband, is very true to the sense of the original stories.
My son & I REALLY ENJOY watching this series. I really hope you continue the series, BEST in a long time !!!
Love the show and actors. Hope this is on for a long time.
Great show. Where is the Final Episode? I want to see the finale!
