Episode 01-01 & 02: Monday, 9/26/11
The two hour premiere attracted a 3.1 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic and 9.22 million. It was in third place for the timeslots and surely a disappointment for FOX considering the production expenses and promotion.
On the positive side, the two hours showed very good retention which means that most people who tuned in kept watching until the end. That’s a positive indicator for next week.
When you compare this with last season’s 8pm premiere of House, the network was down by 24% in the demo. On the positive side, Terra Nova improved over last year’s quickly-cancelled Lone Star premiere by 238%.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Terra Nova TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Don’t cancel – we really enjoyed it.
In my own opinion, Terra Nova should come back for the 2nd season. I would make sure my recorder or I’ll be home for this show to be aired. Really like how idea that humans destroyed the earth and was killing their own people. Then finding a way t go back into the past, and breathing fresh air and no pollutions! Then to see how the people can cope with the primal settings and gaurd against wildlife and then having those people they called 6er’s. Please think about cancelling this show, don’t really have many good shows to watch.
If cancelling Terra Nova means we get more Fringe, House and Bones then I am more than happy to see it go!!!!
renewed for a second season…….renewed for a second season…..renewed for a second season…………….renewed for a second season……………..PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE……………………………………THANK YOU
Our family loves the show and can’t wait for the second season.

Not sure if that is what you wanted when asked for Website. I’m not computer literate. I do know what I like or dislike and I LOVED Terra Nova, which is more than liked. So please bring back the series. I know you wouldn’t call it a Sci-Fi series but we have not had a good sci-fi in a long time and this does fill the bill. My sister and I are 10 years apart, I being 58 and she 68. We both have set our schedules to fit around to watch Terra Nova when ever it is on. Times… Read more »
I enjoy Tera Nova. I hope it returns.
Like the show and its many wonders of the prehistoric history.Don’t cancel. Need to have more Dino’s involed.
Terra Nova deserves to be renewed — however, it needs a conceptual overhaul. The cheapest part of a show like this is the writing / plot – so please, make it smart writing and spare us cheap plot tricks. Make children and animals plot lines, that’s fine with me … I also want to see “the big arc” heavy-duty plot lines slow down.
Terra Nova is a show I really wanted to truly like, but I’m not “sold” on it .. compared to The Event I just watched on Hulu, a show which captured me.
i absolutely loooovvedd this show. I recorded it so i could skip comercials but it kept me on edge the whole time just like falling skies
Definitely a keeper! Do not cancel! Our whole family loves this show!
Awesome series but Fox is horrible for commercials so I didn’t watch it on TV. We downloaded the season on Amazon to watch commercial free on our own time. We’re hoping for a 2nd season.
I absolutely love the show and am eager to see a new season so please don’t cancel.
I truly enjoyed that show; it was different and that was refreshing. Hope to see again in 2012. Don’t cancel.
Want to see this show return!
I will be very disappointed if they cancel Terra Nova. What a fresh and exciting story and great cast! I’m tired of the typical crime, lawyer and reality shows. I love the plot and the great special effects. My whole family and most of my friends watch and are looking forward to a new season. Please FOX, don’t cancel this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
