What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, The Genetic Detective follows investigative genetic genealogist CeCe Moore and her work with DNA technology company Parabon NanoLabs. In the series, Moore and her team revolutionize crime-solving by working with police departments and accessible crime scene DNA to help trace the path of a criminal suspect’s family tree, uncover their identity and bring them to justice. Since 2018, Moore has used her unique research skills to transform the face of crime-solving, helping to identify more than 100 violent criminal suspects.
Season One Ratings

Telly’s Take
The ratings for this show were pretty low. Moore has a solid following and the series seems inexpensive to produce but there’s been no word of it being renewed after more than two years. The show’s also been removed from ABC’s press site. There’s always a possibility that Genetic Detective could be revived for a second season but, for now, it appears to be done. I sure hope Genetic Detective is renewed for another season. It was so riveting. I think genetic detective work will serve as a deterrent to crime.
I do hope they renew this show. I love any show that further discourages crime…forensics AND genealogy together will pretty much seal the deal every time! Be sure your sins will find you out!

I really hope that Genetic Detective is renewed. It seems as if these major television corporations don’t become rich off of a program in the first season and sometimes less than 5 episodes, they just shut it down without running a season 2. Maybe if they would promote shows that are unique and stop relying on big name actors to promote shows and actually budget for advertising they might be surprised. If they don’t renew they are ignorant aorry. That was the absolute most interesting and entertaining show. My husband and I absolutely love her. She was raw and real and thats what needs to be seen. Real and raw not fake and boring.

Moore . Best show we have watched in such a long time. Cece is awesome as an investigator and a tv celebrity. Genetic Detective is soooo much better than Bloodline Dectectives please please please bring her back !!!!!!
