The Gifted TV show won’t be back for a third season on FOX. The network cancelled the X-Men universe drama two months after its season two finale. Reportedly, there exists some chance that the Marvel series could return someday to a Disney-owned outlet, but nothing is currently in the works.
A FOX superhero drama, The Gifted stars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes White, Skyler Samuels, and Grace Byers. Based on a Marvel Comics alternate timeline, the show follows two ordinary parents with mutant children who go on the run from the government and join an underground community of mutants.
The Gifted: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of The Gifted on FOX averaged a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.95 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 41% and 41%, respectively. In terms of its demo numbers, it ranked 15th out of the 16 scripted FOX TV shows we’re tracking. When sorted by total audience it dropped to last place, just behind the comedy, Rel, which was also cancelled today.
The family adventure series, set in Marvel’s X-Men universe, comes from 20th Century Fox TV, which now is part of Disney.
I hear that there have been no real conversations but there is a chance for The Gifted to find a new home within the Disney family. The show is produced by Marvel Television, which currently has series on Disney-owned Freeform and Disney-controlled Hulu. (Disney+’s Marvel series come from the company’s movie division.)

Just watched the entire series 1 and 2 in 3 days..I had no idea the show was that good..i hope Disney or someone picks up season 3..
I really hope my show is coming back for a 3rd season because I enjoyed it so much! The Gifted was on our tv every week when the new one was airing. I miss watching it so much and you can’t just end a show in the middle, you have to give it an ending! Please bring it back! We need it back for many more seasons and if whoever can bring it back can advertise it better, just think of all the viewers and new fans that there would be out there! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it back!
Just got into this series a few weeks ago and man was I bummed when I heard it had already been cancelled before I even started watching it. Love the show. Seeing as I picked it up on Hulu, presumably as long as it’s picked up by another Disney owned or controlled network I would definitely continue to watch it!! Please bring The Gifted back for another season!
very upset to find out it’s been cancelled i love this show so much i hate when shows i like gets cancelled please disney + or hulu netflix someone pick this show up and give us season 3 4 5 6 and so on this show has the potential to go far. my whole family loves this show, one of the only ones we All could get together and enjoy

I would totally watch the gifted season three it was my favorite show you can’t take that away you shouldn’t it was amazing you are truly never going to see anything like it ever. BRING IT BACK. We are all waiting.

They definitely intended to have a four season run, because the “X”s in the first season’s episode titles were capitalized, likewise the “M”s in the second. So they have to bring it back somehow, because the letters were clearly going to spell out X-MEN.
Yes i would most definitely watch a season 3 4 5 ect. I love it and i so hope Disney brings it PLEASE!!! Plenty of room for much more of The Gifted
I love The Gifted, and the ending made me love it even more.. Its annoying when good shows like this have such a good plot and story, but it’s taking away so soon.. I would love for The Gifted to com back with a season 3..

Another Fox show cancelled :(. They cancelled LA to Vegas one of the funniest shows on Tv, Lucifier was the best on TV and now The Gifted. Three really awesome shows. Netflix picked up Lucifier but I am not paying for that because you already pay enough for TV. Even “The Cool kids” was funny and they cancelled that. I am sure the shows that “new” will not match up to the shows that they cancelled. Very Very disappointed.
PleaSe bring back The Gifted, such a great show the cast is awesome as well. Come on we need to know whEre Clarice is taking them!!!!

The gifted is a great show me my family and my whole entire fb account love The Gifted however I didn’t discover it until watching it on Hulu it needed better advertising and if it was to be brought back by Fox or Disney or somewhere with stronger advertising it was be a great success think about it and please inform the people who absolutely love this show.
