The Orville stars Seth MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, Halston Sage, J Lee, and Mark Jackson. The sci-fi action-adventure series centers on Captain Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane), of The U.S.S. Orville, and First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki) — his ex-wife. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, the human and alien crew still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.
The second season of The Orville averaged a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.16 million viewers. Compared to season one, that is down by 40% and 27%, respectively.

So happy the Orville got renewed!! Fun show!! Now they need to renew Life In Pieces! They cancel too many good ones. I need shows that make me feel good.

I’m a Trekkie and I also enjoy the Orville. Haven’t missed a show yet. Great news that it’s renewed for season 3.
I really enjoy the series. Fox has a real winner with science fiction and humor. Both my wife and I watch the show and we are both over 60.
I think this is a great show. The writing is very good with stories that rival or surpass those in the Star Trek universe. I think the problem with those not watching was the original pitch and trailer that made it appear that it would be a silly interaction between two people that divorced. This show is far from that, dealing with good SciFi and issues of interest; the divorce part is a side issue handled in interesting ways and not the main focus. One of my wife’s and my favorite shows. Enjoy the heck out of it. Never missed an episode so far and looking forward with great anticipation to season 3 and, hopefully, far beyond!
The Orville is a good show that my wife and I watch. My only problem with the show is lack of consistency for show dates, keep show date intervals regular!
I love that show….one of the few good ones left! Nice to see “real” actors instead of phoney reality buffoons.
I love the writing, acting, and comedy. So clever to introduce current day topics into a future setting of intergalactic beings. So refreshing to see Orville, it is intelligently written and cleverly scripted. So exciting to see it renewed for another season!

I think it is a well written show that addresses a lot of real life issues in a comedic way, It is defiantly better than a great many shows currently on tv on any station, it should be renewed for as long as the actors wish to do it.

If they cancelled this show it would have broken my heart and made me lose all faith in the general public’s taste. How does a dreary slog like TWD drag on for as many seasons as it has and a bright gem of a show like The Orville is down in viewership?!
