The Orville stars Seth MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, Halston Sage, J Lee, and Mark Jackson. The sci-fi action-adventure series centers on Captain Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane), of The U.S.S. Orville, and First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki) — his ex-wife. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, the human and alien crew still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.
The second season of The Orville averaged a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.16 million viewers. Compared to season one, that is down by 40% and 27%, respectively.

I believe they are going to keep having trouble keeping people if they keep making us wait nearly a year between season. People have a short attention span and we have a ton of things to watch.
Loosing 40% of season 1 is bad.
If they don’t play their cards better, it won’t be able to get a season 4.
Unless it does really good streaming.
Ratings are so hard to count on these days with so many ways to watch.

Very enjoyable show. I thought it was going to be a lampoon of Star Trek, but is, in fact, playing it straight, with just enough McFarlane humor to add a new dimension to the genre. Glad it was renewed for 2019–2020.

Now if they can just find some way to get William Shatner on there thru a TIME PORTAL of some sort…….would make for TREMENDOUS HUMOR in addition to their already outward and sometimes subliminal HUMOR……!
The Orville is an amazing show as far as I’m concerned it’s better than Star Trek

Never been a big fan of Seth McFarlane up to Orville S01 E01 – still not a big fan of Family Guy but on the Orville he is awesome. I have seen some or all the episodes of the different incarnations of Star Trek. I even watched the original series first time round.
The Orville reminds me of a mix of Star Trek and Next Generation but with real human beings with all their faults and character.
Please keep going and I hate having to wait till 2020 for season 3
