NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

Please bring back the Village for season 2 it’s a great show tha deserves a 2 sesason. We all like it . It’s onw of the better tv shows.
This is one of my favorite shows. I am sure with streaming it has good numbers. Please do not cancel this show. There are so many shows that are not cancelled that are not worthy.

What a shame the network doesn’t have enough sense to offer good, real family type drama. I really enjoyed this. There is too much violence or senseless reality shows on now. I guess it will be Amazon Prime TV for me now.
I agree that the shows that stay on are to much violence maybe if family shows stayed on kids now days can see family still really matters

it’s really a shame that The Village has been canceled! NBC you always do it to yourselves every time and you wonder why you don’t have high ratings!!
SO disappointed The Village is not returning for season 2. PLEASE RECONSIDER!!! A mid season start for a one hour drama needs a little more time to find the audience. GREAT SHOW, RETRACT the cancellation. PLEASE!
So sad that the village had been cancelled. Was one of the best new shows this year. Anymore the networks don’t give these shows a chance but put so many reality shows on which are terrible.

I am so disappointed the show is cancelled! You’ll keep trash on but you finally find a great show and then take it away from us. Guess I’ll be sticking to OTHER stations to find something WORTH WHILE to watch. Shame on you!
