NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

We are very disappointed the Villiage was cancelled. It was a good family show that a lot of people related too.

Loved it!! Most disappointed it’s not renewed!!! We just spent this past week watching The Village marathon, staying up later than I like, just to get another episode in. I am so attached to most all of the characters and was sad when we finished the season. I was telling everyone how good it was. Then my daughter told me yesterday that she read it was canceled and I was devastated, as was she. I like the show every bit as well as This Is Us. Maybe more. I loved this show! It had such heart and emotion every week. The cast is amazing. Really hope someone picks this series up its one of my favorites! I’m so disappointed reading its canceled.
This show was amazing, idk what are they thinking getting rid of it. I don’t watch TV because of all the junk, good stuff is removed, junk remains, how sad. Let’s do another COP/Detective show or a stupid supernatural show. I don’t know who makes the decisions for TV programming but they’re clearly not in touch with the real people in America.
I am very upset about the village not getting renewed for season 2. I don’t believe it was given a fair enough chance, it is by far the best show on tv. We need more wholesome tv shows. Please bring it back for another season!

I loved “The Village.” It was a great show – of course the idiots at NBC cancelled it.
I loved The Village!! Even my husband, who doesn’t really watch TV got hooked on it and we went back and watched from the beginning. I loved it just as much the 2nd time. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL IT!!!!!!
