NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I thought the Village was a great show and loved the story line and the cast. Very disappointed about this. Bring it back.

I loved Tge Village. By far one of the best series on TV. Very upset that this show didn’t get a chance to gain audience support. It will be missed.

They Village was one of the best TV shows in a long time.. Why are they cancelling it???? We need good shows like this instead of the crap on TV!!
I am totally disappointed the Village was not renewed, I definetely would watch it, and told many friends how good it was.

Absolutely LOVED the show!!! Right up there w all the other ABC hit dramas! Very enjoyable – loved the storyline. Very very disappointed that ABC did not give it a chance! BIG MISTAKE!
I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. I was so looking forward to season 2. You’ve left so much undone. It at least deserves a 2 hour real finale. We need answers and closure. I am heart broken. It may sound silly bit I. Disabled and mostly home bound. I rely on moving well written interesting engaging extremely well cast,major character development. Lar but not least, what’s up with this amazing cast? The acting is phenomenal. Every second of this show is poignant and special. please send me some closure on each character. I loved The Village. It’s real life with real people and stories. Anyone could find themselves in the stories at any point. So sorry to see it end after only one season
I loved the TV series the village. It was very enjoyable. It is disappointing that they didn’t renew it. It was better than most shows on TV.
So disappointed, loved this series! All of the characters were perfect together. So much story to be told
