NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I am so disappointed The Village has been canceled. Of course the lousy stupid shows are still on. I couldn’t get enough of The Village, I couldn’t wait for the next show. The cast was superb and the storyline was heartfelt. What a huge mistake NBC made but I guess I’m not surprised.
Those who have AT&T we haven’t been able to watch NBC since July 3rd! Don’t you just love these Networks?!? Not a lot of brains!
Why are the good shows always cancelled.? I wish someone with a brain would reconsider and bring back the Village
It is hard to want to watch new shows coming out because of the chances of them being canceled. Why take the time to invest in a show when it might not be around for a 2nd season. I’m disappointed that The Village was canceled. It was a few good show; I guess that is way it wasn’t renewed for a 2nd season.
I am SO disappointed that The Village will not be coming back for a second season. It is such a beautiful story of real people. Please reconsider.

I am so upset that The Village has been canceled. This show rates at the top with This is Us. It has a great cast and storyline. Please, bring it back. There are too few great programs as this one.

Very disappointed. This was a good show. Sick of all the “reality” TV. Maybe give a show time for people to get into it before dropping it. I’m so tired of network ratings crap. I have hundreds of channels and there is not really any good shows anymore.

Absolutely love this show! Finally a show that related to things someone in someway or another is going through. Sure, cancel a show that reflects that people can come together and help each other.
