NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

I absolutely loved the The Village! Actors are so real; I fell in love with them. I only watch about 5 shows a week & this is one I really looked forwRd to watching! Please reconsider!!
This show had more real life to it than others, it made me laugh and want to cry at the same time..a feel good show you could watch with kids. Stop the Reality BS and give us shows like this! I pay the bills and would not turn on any reality show or game show crapp, give wholesome shows or I cut the cord!!!
Absolutely in love with The Village! Really saddened by the cancelation. This show had so much potential to last more seasons. The ending left us wanting more. What I cliff hanger it was with lots of real tears rolling down my face. I been waiting for new episodes only to find out it’s been canceled. Please NBC rethink your decision and make a season 2.
This was one of the best shows I and my wife have watched in years. It effected so many of the real life struggles we all face and was excited to watch it each week. So greatly disappointed with it not returning compared to all the “crap shows” that return year after year. Please bring it back.

My wife and I enjoyed the TV show The Village. It was a human interest series that shows the problems facing different families everyday and how they bond together to help one another. The show was weaving good scenarios and the actors were all good. BRING IT BACK
I hated hearing the Village was cancelled- it was one of my new favorites! I’m so hoping it gets picked up by a another outlet. The story lines were incredible and I fell in love with these characters. I could relate to them more so than ‘This is Us’. I think an opportunity has been missed.
How sad. I am so tired of watching good quality shows only to see the next series cancelled. It seems if it’s not sex violence or political conflict it’s not going to get the ratings. Is this the only thing that counts these days. Nothing to do with a good TV viewing.
It was really disappointing to find out there will not be a second season of The Village. It was the one show I looked forward to watching. There are a great deal of crappy shows that do nothing but show and promote sex and violence. This was a show that showed real life drama and how people can rely on their Faith and on each other to get through difficult times. There needs to be more shows like this and less of the crap that is out there.

The Village was a rare family friendly touching show. Instead we’ve got ridiculous reality shows that do nothing to build character, encourage thought or build compassion. It was something adults, teens and kids could watch together. I’m thoroughly disgusted with this cancellation.
I’m so disappointed that The Village was cancelled. It was most enjoyable and real live drama about the heartaches, hope and joys of life. I hope at least season one will be released on dvd.
I enjoyed this series so much, after watching the last episode I couldn’t wait to see if there was a second season out, and it was really disappointing and sad to see that the second season was cancelled. Please please bring the series back!!!
I wanted to keep watching season two of the Village . It is the best show on tv. I am very disappointed. I looked forward to Tuesday nights. Sorry you canceled it.
