NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

Do NOT keep Tbe Villge canceled!! This is the Main Show I would eagerly wait for every week. Waiting fotr Season 2 was hatd enough & then I read iylt’s cancelled?! Please, please return my friend! These could be people we know or even us! NBC was becoming an amazing channel again & now this? Please, begging you to return it. I’m still recovering from West Nile Encephalitis. It’s hard for me to get around & hard to remember things.. I remembee every single episode of The Village! Please, Please Continue this heartfelt show! Please?!
I don’t understand everytime there’s a a good show NBC cancels seasons two, I love the village I have a chronic bone disease that keeps me at home I watch moves a lot , I just can’t believe no s2 of so many good shows ,, WHY!!!!!!!! ??????

You have GOT to be kidding!!!! Come on NBC, this is one of your most interesting, heartfelt, series with wonderful complex companies, each with such a human story to tell. I have been so looking forward to Season 2. BAD decision. Makes me wonder who is in charge. Think Season 2 would have gotten the word out.
I totally agree! 2 of my daughters had attempted to interrupt an episode. While waiting to be allowed to talk they both sat down & didn’t miss another episode !
Very disappointed in NBC you needed to give the the Village a season 2 . Keep pushing us to more cable stations

Why are there NO 2nd season of the Village, this was a stunning series- please make a plan-we are waiting. You cannot stop the 1season on such a high note

This is so upsetting…they didn’t even give it a chance to develop or get noticed. By the time all my friends started watching they said they were going to cancel it. I kept telling people it was the first great show since Parenthood! Love this is us as well butt The Village had me hooked, too bad another station didn’t pick it up. Makes me so sad!
Awesome series! Why was it cancelled? The suspense is episode 10 just made me crave to see more… Please renew it
The Village was an excellent series. I thoroughly enjoyed it as did all my friends. The cancellation of this show speaks volumes of the viewing audience.

Are we going to get an answer of why no season two of the village , at least that much it’s like reading half a book and then saying sorry can’t read rest ,, such an heart felt real everyday stories,, please rethink this nbc ,,
