NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

Rarely watch tv BUT I fell in love with the village. Why in the world would you cancel leaving all the characters in limbo. At least bring it back for a proper ending. I am totally saddened by the garbage that is being renewed and the good shows that are being axed. What a pity.
I watched The Village on Hulu and googled season 2. Very disappointed to read it was canceled.
I love The Village! NBC is making a mistake. It is a feel good show that a lot of people relate to. I was looking forward to watching the next season.
I liked The Village. The characters were interesting and different. NBC should give the show a season 2. I think they are missing the mark on this one. There are so many shows that are similar. The Village had that different edge to it. It wasn’t a hospital, police or fire station. It is people of all ages living together in the same building trying to help each other.
I love The Village. Please give it another chance.

This was one of the best new shows last season. My heart is breaking because I could not wait to start watching it again. The characters and their stories were so relate-able. It was a feel good show. Very disappointed. Please bring it back!

Please do not cancel the Village. I love the show. Love the characters and
how they were being developed. I talked about this show with friends, co-workers
and random people. It was a bright spot in tv land.
I too loved the show! I didn’t get to see it when it was first out but just recently watched on hulu and I love it. The story lines and the characterless were phenomenal!! Story lines were very interesting and I want to see what happens to the them all. We just got to know them.
Please do not cancel “Tht Village” tv show. Was one of my favorite shows. Loved all the characters and their story lines. Very heartwarming. It was down to earth and people could relate to these people.

I am very disappointed in NBC by not renewing the Village as it was a great show and I looked forward to watching it every week.
I can’t believe it’s cancelled! I was so looking forward to season 2! This show had a little of everything in it showing what normal families go through in everyday life. NBC you never gave it a chance for the ratings to increase as word of mouth would have definitely had more viewers in the 2nd season. Please bring it back.
