NBC has evicted one of its newest drama series. The network has cancelled The Village TV show so there won’t be a second season.
The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.
The first season of The Village averaged a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.12 million viewers. The defacto series finale aired on May 21st.
Compared to the other scripted NBC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Village ranks 13th in the demo and ninth in viewership. The series saw a momentary bump in the ratings ratings when NBC moved it an earlier timeslot but it didn’t last and the numbers soon hit new lows.
Today, the Peacock Network also cancelled The Enemy Within and Abby’s TV shows.

Yes I would watch. I am very disappointed that it will not be returning for season 2.
I cannot believe this show was cancelled. Finally a show that developed the characters. We want to know what happens with them! Bring it back! Not another reality show or off color comedy which won’t last either. You missed it really big this time!

I’m very disappointed that there wont be a 2nd season of the Village. Finally a good wholesome family show. Great acting loved this show. It was a real feel good show. Please bring it back!!
Way to lose viewers NBC. This show was one of the best. Who is behind this thought process. If you know, which I know you knew before the season ended, this would bed canceled, why would you not reflect the story to end in than manner instead of leaving viewers just hanging on an unfinished story. So disappointed. NBC please replace the person involved in cancelling these awesome shows.
At least bring it back for a second season with an ending.
Terrific show! I don’t understand why all the great shows are cancelled and more “reality” shows are added. The Village was a show about human interaction and helping each other. It needs a second chance.

Very sad. This is a show that has no violence, addressed everyday issues people are up against and also goes back to the days when people truly care about others and are more then willing to help one another out. Please bring it back
