What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix Australian drama, Tidelands stars Charlotte Best, Aaron Jakubenko, Peter O’Brien, Madeleine Madden, Mattias Inwood, Elsa Pataky, Marco Pigossi, Dalip Sondhi, and Chloe De Los Santos. The series centers on Cal McTeer (Best). After serving years in a juvenile detention facility, Cal returns to the small fishing village of Orphelin Bay and soon finds her hometown awash in mystery.
As of January 21, 2025, Tidelands has not been cancelled or renewed for a second season. Stay tuned for further updates.

It is frustrating finding a series you like only to have it canceled after one season. Netflix is bad about this. There are several shows including Tidelands that I had started watching only for them to not be renewed. Netflix is starting to make me not want to use their streaming.
Of course I want to see the rest of this story! But this BS that all the streaming services do in canceling shows demonstrates deep disrespect for us, its customers and audience. This is the last show I will ever watch that isn’t complete.I swear I will never again be one of the patsies that gets sucked into an unfinished series. I don’t do it with books and I won’t with these profit-mongering “services” that take us for granted. No more!!! I’d love to see more
Loved season 1 disappointed there is no season ² as yet Netflix has a bad habit of only realising 1 season of a series and then cancels following season do not watch Netflix as much as used to because of this
I would like to see this show have at least 2 more seasons. I really enjoyed watching the first one. I was upset that it came out in 2019 and it’s 2023 and they leave you on a cliffhanger. Why do most shows end this way???
There needs to be closure for us as viewers.

I was looking forward to the next one. I feel as if I’m being left hanging.
I am really hoping for a second season. This show is definitely a good watch and binge worthy. I am disappointed that this show may be canceled. High hopes that it’s not and we can see what happens next!
