TV show description:
A dramatic series, the Tommy TV show revolves around a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles.
A true-blue New Yorker, Abigail “Tommy” Thomas (Falco) uses unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland.
Tommy steps into her new job surrounded by her predecessor’s staff. Chief of Staff Donn Cooper (Jones) is a savvy cop with good instincts and the ability to be discreet. A polished and confident press secretary, Blake Sullivan (Clemens) is eager to earn Tommy’s trust. Ken Rosey (Chernus) is an idealistic speechwriter and former attorney.
As part of her personal security team, Tommy also hires Abner Diaz (Caamaño), a fellow street-smart New York transplant.
Responsible for hiring Tommy, Mayor Buddy Gray (Sadoski) is a charismatic politician whose goals and ambitions don’t always align with Tommy’s. Buddy relies on the political instincts of his deputy mayor, Doug Dudik (Taylor), a slick operative with questionable morals who is wary of Tommy’s growing influence.
Now that Tommy is in Los Angeles, she has a second chance at a relationship with her adult daughter, Kate Jones (Philip). Kate still faults her mother for choosing career over family years ago.
Tough and sarcastic while remaining likable, Tommy has the conviction needed to succeed as the first woman to lead the LAPD in its fight to keep citizens safe and crime at bay in the City of Angels.

Tommy and her inner circle fight back against an LAPD and city government conspiracy to have her removed as police chief.

don’t cancel- I have watched this since day 1. also don’t cancel MacGyver. you already cancelled “god friended me”. I loved that show above all, but you left a lot of trash like fake reality shows
Great show, I watched it every Thursday. I recorded it if I was away. For sure it was better than Magnum PI. If CBS is looking for higher ratings, they should consider moving it to a different day.
I absolutely love Tommy show. It is great. Keeps you in suspense. Eddie Falco is awesome at being the Chief of Police. Fantastic show. Can’t wait for next season.
Please don’t cancel Tommy; in today’s world we need more successful women actors, especially non-comedy. Tommy is balanced and shows strength in her job and personal life
Cancelling Tommy is a huge mistake. It’s a well written well acted show and Edie Falco is a superb actress. If the show is cancelled I URGE YOU TO RECONSIDER.
Tommy is well worth the time to view. Edie Falco is a master at what she does. Please don’t cancel it. We need more programs showing strong women who handle tough jobs and who have a home life too.
Tommy is much better than Deputy and is better than Magnum PI. Tommy is a keeper by p0pular standards should have at least a second season.
This is so lame … this show is really good. You’ve removed this and the Deputy but reality shows still stay on. Not sure where you get your data from. Us senior citizens watch more TV than young people because we’re not as active. You should poll people before you remove a show.
I love this show.it shows all ppl that you can do anything. In this time ,we need encouraging and to teach kids you are not defined by Race Sex or religion.hope more season coming

Tommy is one of the best new shows out there. Edie Falco does a great job. Total opposite of her role as Carmela Soprano. Please renew it for a second season.
