It’s been said that “war is hell” and certainly, network television is no piece of cake either. Last week marked the finale of the Valor TV show on The CW and it is highly unlikely to be renewed for a second season. Would you watch season two of Valor if it survived somehow?
A military drama that aired on The CW television network, Valor stars Christina Ochoa, Matt Barr, Charlie Barnett, Corbin Reid, W. Trè Davis, Nigel Thatch, and Melissa Roxburgh. The story centers on the Shadow Raiders, a crack unit of U.S. Army helicopter pilots. After Jimmy Kam (Davis) disappears during a top-secret mission to Somalia, the only safe returnees — Captain Leland Gallo (Barr) and Warrant Officer Nora Madani (Ochoa) — know what really happened there. As they train to rescue Jimmy, Nora and Leland find themselves growing closer. Their desires end up at odds with their commitment to honor and duty. Jimmy’s wife and Nora’s boyfriend can’t help but be suspicious. Meanwhile, the mysterious Thea (Roxburgh), is assigned to investigate the unit’s failed mission.
Airing on Monday nights, Valor ran for 13 episodes, from October 2017 until January 2018. The series drew a meager 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 958,000 viewers. It was the network’s lowest-rated series in the demo.
While the TV series has not been officially cancelled, it is not expected to be renewed.
While he didn’t come out and say that Valor had been cancelled, The CW boss Mark Pedowtiz recently talked about why the series didn’t work for the network. He said, “It did not resonate the way we’d hoped it would resonate. I wanted to do one for 6-7 years; it maybe is a question whether the CW audience would come to a military drama for us. It did not help that there were 85 of them this year, I don’t think any of them did really well. I’m proud of what (creator Kyle Jarrow and producer Bill Haber) did, I will be in business with them again.”
What do you think? Did you like the Valor TV show on The CW? Do you think it should be cancelled? Would you have watched season two?
I would most definitely watch another season.
I would watch season 2 the end of season 1 left me hanging. And I want to know what happens to them in the long run.
Yes I would watch many more seasons it was great loved the plot I’m a veteran myself and yes it is a great show hope they do come out with season two. I would watch it
I would watch another season and more
It became a must see for me! The show was exciting, believable, and very realistic. Unfortunately the critics decide what’s good and what isn’t. What is true is that they are not always right. Example…. American Sniper! This show had great acting and story lines that are relative to today. I really hope there is a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and on for this show!
I love this show
Love Valor and hoping for a second season.
I love this show. I prefer it to seal team on cbs. I’m a veteran. I like the characters and their stories. I’d hate for it to be cancelled
Terrible show. Being ex military I have problems watching badly done military shows and this one looked like someones very bad idea about how soldiers act. They way they spoke, acted even carried themselves was insulting to real soldiers. If you want to do a military drama at least have the decency to make it believable. This show was pathetic.
You sir are so wrong. Things have changed for the military. You are very outdated and you are hugely outnumbered with regard to your opinion!
I really enjoyed this show, please renew it!!!! I would love to see what happens next!
Please don’t cancel this TV show I love it so much
Please have a season 2. I love this show, plus we have to know what becomes of Leland and Nora under under the supervision of Thea in the new jobs in the CIA, can’t leave a cliff hanger like that.
Love the show season 2 please
I would watch Season 2 of Valour,i really enjoyed it a lot, loved it actually.SO yes, would be great if they could do a season 2
..loved this show. More advertising of this may have helped. Found it by accident and was hooked. Would definitely watch season two and beyond. Storyline could certainly continue, kinda left hanging. Particularly would love for Ian to find out his mother held the other domino. Loved the tension between Madhani and Gallo.
