The reign of Vikings is coming to an end. Deadline reports the History TV show will end after its upcoming sixth season.
The historical drama delves into the Viking warriors and their strange, ruthless world. The cast includes Alexander Ludwig, Alex Høgh Andersen, Peter Franzén, Katheryn Winnick, Jordan Patrick Smith, Gustaf Skarsgård, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
According to Deadline, Vikings will debut its sixth and final season sometime later this year, with the final episodes airing in 2020. And while the History series is coming to an end, Vikings creator Michael Hirst and MGM Television are reportedly looking to franchise the show with a possible spin-off.

Yes we like Vikings as my wife is of Norwegian descent. We would hate to see the show end.
It started off basically historically correct for the first few seasons even though the facts were condensed and events in the real viking history that happened over centuries were depicted as happening over just several generations and characters were given relationships that were not true but hey that is Hollywood right> Then the series went wild and started going off in a crazy direction and the last few episodes they have really “jumped the shark” when Norway was invaded by Rus Vikings was too much. I love Vikings it’s my favorite I’ve watched it twice I might watch it again I would certainly watch season 7 8 9 there should be more shows like it with such good actors
