TV show description:
The When Hope Calls TV show is a spin-off of the successful Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart, which is based on the Janet Oke book. The western Canadian drama is the first series on the Hallmark Movies Now streaming platform. It centers on sisters Lillian (Kohan) and Grace (Hudon), who were first introduced in the original series’ special When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing.
Orphaned when they were still quite small, Lillian and Grace were separated while they were just toddlers and reunited, as adults, in Brookfield, in western Canada. When Hope Calls unfolds in 1916 in that same town, where the sisters open an orphanage.
Brookfield is at a crossroads. The cattle-ranching town is growing, and with that growth comes aspirations. Sometimes, Lillian and Grace feel torn between the town’s traditions and its ambitions. Still, they do the best to care for the children in their charge, as they also pursue love and happiness in their personal lives.
Together, Lillian and Grace are learning what it means to be a part of this community, which includes a Brookfield Mountie named Gabriel (Hatanaka), a ranch hand named Chuck (Hovanessian), and his mother, Tess (Crewson), who used to be a friend of Lillian’s family.

I absolutely love this show and can’t wait for the new episodes to start. Was so excited to hear they are on hallmark channel now but was hoping it was going to be new episodes. When will they air new ones.

It definitely needs more seasons! A great season 1. I was very disappointed that there was only one season. Loved it!

Please renew When Hope Calls. I like it even better than When Calls the Heart! It would be much more popular if it was on the regular Hallmark channel and not stream only, though. Even so, I will continue to pay to stream it for as many seasons as it runs. Bring it back soon!

I’ve really enjoyed “When Hope Calls“ thus far during Season 1. I hope it continues for several seasons if the writers can get progressively real exploring real human emotions in a PG kind of way.

I love this series just as I loved When Called The Heart. It so important to have good heart felt tv reminding our of our history. I am a Canadian who has lived in the USA for over 50 years and love to be reminded of my roots. Thank you!
I would love to watch this series but I am so mad it is not on the hallmark channel and I will not pay extra money to watch it so in my opinion they are losing lots of viewers
I agree with you 100%. I will not buy the extra Hallmark channel and thruthfully cannot afford any more money for TV, and am very angry. Do not do streaming and they are very wrong for not putting on regular Hallmark channel !!!
