It’s official. Deadline reports the ABC TV show Whiskey Cavalier will not be returning for a second season after all.
The drama series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Scott Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Lauren Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world. The cast also includes Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins.
Last week, we reported that ABC was considering bringing Whiskey Cavalier back for a second season after cancelling it earlier this month. Now, it series creator David Hemingson has confirmed this will not be the case. Whiskey Cavalier will remain cancelled:

My husband and I both love this show. The banter and the exotic locations was fun to watch. It was a show that we could count on to entertain and am so sorry that it will not continue. It was refreshing to have some new faces in a show that was not full of language, nudity or excessive violence. So, so sad to see it ended.
My husband and I love this show. My daughter informed us it was cancelled. She wasn’t happy either because she loves it. Give the program a chance instead of all the reality shows that are on TV now. Keep Whiskey Cavalier on !
Love this show. Well done. Great cast. Look forward to it every week. Networks keep some of the crappy shows and cancel an excellent, entertaining show like Whiskey Cavalier.

Not happy at all!! I love this show! This is a good clean, entertaining, fun, exciting,,action pack show! Why would you cancel it! Bring it back! Why would you end it like you did and leave everyone hanging. Bring it back!!!!
This is not FAIR!!! I don’t usually throw an ‘adult tantrum’ but it seems like this is the right moment for it. I’m really mad that they canceled!!! Why would you cancel after killing off a funny character?! Why would you cancel after the growing suspense of Will and Frankie’s relationship and then kissing?! Why?! Why?! WHY?!!!!!
I hate hearing this. When they are a good clean show no cussing it seems the network is ready to give them the ax. I love this show and watch every show. We need good shows!
