Is all well that ends well? TNT has cancelled its Will TV show after just one season of ten episodes. The decision to cancel the young Shakespeare drama series comes on the heels of last night’s Will season one and unintentional TV series finale episode, “Once, Bright Angel.” The first season of Will premiered on TNT on July 10, 2017.
The Will TV series stars Laurie Davidson as William Shakespeare. The TNT cast also includes Olivia DeJonge, Jamie Campbell Bower, Mattias Inwood, Ewen Bremner, Colm Meaney, William Houston, Lukas Rolfe, Max Bennett, and Jasmin Savoy Brown.
Will: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Will averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 392,000 viewers. It is the lowest rated of the scripted TNT TV shows we’ve been tracking.

Really liked this show please bring it back. I think it might have done better ratings on a different network.
I have been waiting to watch season two this is an incredible show and this is so disappointing to hear it has been canceled please reconsider so many more stories to be told every aspect of the show has been excellent I am sad nothing else like this one
Probably the ONLY television show I have waited and wanted to know about the second season. I LOVED this series. Didn’t know about it when it aired “live” but have told dozens of people to watch it on demand, etc and they have and they also loved it… Let’s continue to dumb Americans up with other mindless television…
SOOOOoooooooo disappointed that WILL was not renewed. It was one of the BEST shows I’ve watched in along time. The acting was absolutely incredible. Such talent! BIG BOO HOO! I can only hope that it finds a new home.
I’m so disappointed that Will was cancelled, I was so excited when I saw commercials for it that, knowing I wouldn’t be home when it aired, I flipped forward days in advance and set it to record. I have loved watching it and am so sad that they won’t be continuing it. I was so looking forward to seeing more of these characters.

What a shame, just like AMCs Feed the Beast, a quality show under appreciated and no support.
How could this not go to a second series. Visually stunning, some great performances and some clever script writing. It brought Shakespeare to life in a way that captured the essence of the time and the wild dangerous nature of the era, whilst making it accessible to a modern audience. What a great shame not to see more of this.
It was an amazing, original, witty and well done creation that left me breathless.
The TNT series of Will was both enlightening & exhilarating! I am so desperately saddened that such a grand piece of art has come to a bittersweet end!!!
The writers & actors were astoundingly phenomenal. I can only pray that many others respond to this OUTRAGE of the cancellation of this show!
TNT – PLEASE RECONSIDER & REINSTATE THE TV SERIES “WILL”!
I am sorry to see Will was cancelled. I found it an entertaining show. TNT should look at another way to bring it back.
