Telly’s Take
Will debuted with weak numbers for a TNT TV series and the ratings haven’t gotten better for this young Shakespeare series. It’s TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series so, unless there’s some special financial arrangement, I suspect that Will will be cancelled and not renewed for a second season. I’ll keep a hungry eye on the ratings and update this page as needed. Subscribe for free updates on any Will cancellation and renewal news.
9/5 update: Will has been cancelled; there will be no season two on TNT. Details here.

Huzzah! To all the possibilities in Season 2 – captivate me for 10 more rock star episodes…
This show is like crack for white people, I can’t get enough of it. There will be a Season 2 on TNT or Netflix, because this show is too good to not have one. It’s definitely in my Top 20 Shows since 2000. Also, Alice has got to comeback in Season 2, because Will and her are electric on the screen together. Good writing, simple storylines, and passionate acting, what else can you ask for. Thanks to everybody who made that show, it really was like a perfect storm of greatness.
Renew please! This show is awesome!
I was captivated from beginning to end! please continue season two, and release this on blu-ray for my permanent collection. Laurie Davidson was astonishing as young Shakespeare. we had just been to the Globe a month ago for Romeo and Juliet…..also RSC at Stratford for Antony and Cleopatra. it was fascinating to get this intense glimpse into Elizabethan England on the wrong side of the river.
Absolutely love this show! Brilliantly done! Please renew for another season!
Please please renew! I am hooked! I hope it goes far beyond season 2….. come on TNT
Pleasssseeeee make a season 2. I am hooked. I hope it goes beyond season 2 and many more
I love this show please season 2 and more.
Excellent ! Hope there is a season 2
They better renew this show. I am in medical school and I only set aside 1 hour during the week to watch a show and a couple hours on the weekends to catch up. I chose this one as my binge-watch summer show, and I am glad I did. This is one of the most well written, and entertaining shows I have seen in a while.
Renew! I love this show and hope it continues. Great acting, especially from Laurie and Mattias.
This show must go on! Bravo to TNT, the writers, producers, cast and crew for bringing to life a show that is both fun and interesting to watch!
I can’t imagine any reason at all to cancel this clever, creative, perfectly cast show!!! TNT has already renewed a show like “Claws”, but cant find their way to support a clearly superior show like “Will”??? Time for the producers to shop for a new network.
Yes, unfortunately this seems to reflect the intellect of the masses. I truly hope they renew it though.
I hope it renews. I can’t find a series to watch because shows I like keep getting canceled
Your absolutely right every great show gets canceled
