What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the TNT cable channel, Will stars Laurie Davidson as William Shakespeare. The cast also includes Olivia DeJonge, Jamie Campbell Bower, Mattias Inwood, Ewen Bremner, Colm Meaney, William Houston, Lukas Rolfe, Max Bennett, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. At just 24 years of age, with no social or political advantages, Shakespeare is willing to risk everything in pursuit of his dreams. He dives headlong into the fast and treacherous world of Elizabethan theater, trying to make it as a writer.

Telly’s Take
Will debuted with weak numbers for a TNT TV series and the ratings haven’t gotten better for this young Shakespeare series. It’s TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series so, unless there’s some special financial arrangement, I suspect that Will will be cancelled and not renewed for a second season. Will is one of the best shows I have seen in a while. Everyone could actually act. Excellent, strong characters and superb acting. Please don’t cancel. We need a season 2!!

One of the best shows on TV. Please renew for Season 2. Anyone know why episode 5 on TNT was not broadcast on July 31 ? I have series set on timer for DVR, but it taped a movie, not Willl at 9 p.m.
TNT put it on a little later last night (after the movie). But you should be able to catch it — and all the rest of the episodes now on TV at TNT demand or on the TNT website. I’m bingeing them all now. 🙂

I love the show. Those that comment it’s not historically correct need to turn to the discovery channel. It’s entertaining, creative and so much fun.
Please renew this series. It got off a little slowing but quickly grew into an exciting drama. It’s fun to watch how Shakespeare’s plays develop.

this is probably one of the best tv series i have ever watched. it hits from all angles and takes people through an emotional rollercoaster that is not only damming but inspiring as well. character development is probably the best ive seen in a tv series as you invest in all the characters. good or bad. if this is not renewed it would be a hole that could not be filled. a staple of british culture that would not be seen. a memory that should not be forgotten and this is the best way to portray it.
