“What truly made our church great? Fear or tolerance?” HBO has released a new trailer for their upcoming TV series The Young Pope.

The drama stars Jude Law as Lenny Belardo, aka Pius XIII, the first American and youngest pope in history. The cast also includes Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli, and James Cromwell.

The Young Pope debuts on January 15th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
