A few months after Starz cancelled their historical fantasy drama, creator David S. Goyer says there’s a possibility for a season four in the future.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Goyer said he has plans for the show to return in a few years for a limited run. The story would follow Da Vinci about 15 years after the close of season three during the “Bonfire of the Vanities.”
Begun in 2013, Da Vinci’s Demons follows a semi-fictionalized account of Leonardo da Vinci, his creations, and his dealings with the powerful Medici family. The series’ third and (for now) final season will begin airing on October 24, 2015, and Goyer promises a “satisfying ending.”
From David S. Goyer in Digital Spy:
This has closure. For the fans, it’s hard to do a good ending. You hate those shows that don’t end because they got yanked. This isn’t that. We debated whether or not this would be an end. Fans will be really satisfied with the end.”
What do you think? Are a fan of Da Vinci’s Demons? How do you feel about the series ending and possible return?
Please bring back for a season 4, even 5, 6, ect! The young Da Vinci is seldom depicted in any films or series. Hopefully a story line can be developed to fit a time period before the Bonfire of Vanities to help develop Count Riario’s character and to see what Da Vinci is up to during those 15 years. Sprinkle in a new love interest (think more of an Outlander type love) for Da Vinci… and what about the Book of Leaves? It has to come back!
If the series has been canceled. Hear great interests from behind. The series was showing a lot of reality at the time. It was canceled due to interests and to show the reality of the time. But anyway. Money buys everything, even the cancellation of the series
The ending killed me I BEG U BRING BACK MY SEXY DA VINCI I NEED HIM I LOVE THE SHOW IM ADDICTED!!!
