Big news for fans of Homeland and The Affair. Today, Deadline reports that Showtime has renewed both dramas for a sixth and third season, respectively.
The news arrives right as both series are about to end their current season.
Despite a bumpy road both creatively and ratings-wise over the past few seasons, Homeland has performed pretty consistently since its season five premiere in October, with a recent high of around 1.74 million viewers for its last episode.
Only in its sophomore season, The Affair, which stars Dominic West and Ruth Wilson as two married individuals engaged in a problematic relationship, has maintained low-but-growing ratings.
The season finales for both Homeland and The Affair will air on Showtime on December 20th.
What do you think? Do you watch either Homeland or The Affair? Are you glad both have been renewed? Will you continue to watch?
