It’s all over but the bleeding. Executive producer Julie Plec has announced The Originals TV show will end with season five on The CW. Writer Carina MacKenzie recently confirmed there will be 13 episodes in what we now know to be the fifth and final season. “Many shows are not lucky enough to have a hand in deciding when the end has come…. Ending a show is always bittersweet, but for me, it’s a true blessing to be a part of making that choice,” Plec wrote.
A spin-off of The Vampire Diaries, which ended its eight season run earlier this year, The Originals is a supernatural drama following the Mikaelson family. They’re the world’s original vampires and are trying to reclaim New Orleans. The CW cast includes Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood, and Riley Voelkel.

The Originals: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of The Originals averaged a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 940,000 viewers. Compared to season three, it was down by 15% and up by 1%, respectively. Find out how The Originals stacks up against the other CW TV shows.

I totally agree the originals never should have ended it was the best show on tv n I think they should bring it back
This show always have me sitting on the edge of my seat. Joseph Morgan is brilliant all by his self and the cast just compliments that. The writing, story line and scenery was mostly spectacular. It is a big mistake to end this show. This was the best and most compelling mix of monsters in tv history. No other vampire, werewolf and witch series will ever compete. But it’s just like tvland to ruin everything. I sure hope that Joseph Morgan is recognized for his wit, charm and exquisite performances.

I love The Originals it’s a very interesting supernatural show. I would love to see a season 6 and more . I’m a horror fan . More Originals please. Season 6

The Originals has been my favorite show in quite awhile. I have been immersed the the vampire,witch werewolves and the mixed drama . The history and introduction to New Orleans has always been a place I have wanted to visit since I were a teen. I love the Michaelson Family. Yes they are not your everyday family nor are their food choices appealing to all. But the drama , history, and the undeniable hidden loves.
