It can pay to have a little faith. ABC stuck with Shark Tank in its early days when it was struggling to find an audience.
Now, it’s become one of the top-rated shows on Friday nights and is one of the only ABC shows that is up in the ratings year-to-year. ABC ended up ordering a whopping 29 episodes for season five and the network has now renewed the show for a sixth season. No word on how many installments will be produced but no doubt there will be at least 22.
On Shark Tank, entrepreneurs offer a portion of their companies to a group of saavy (and sometimes cuthroat) millionaire investors. The “sharks” typically include a five person combination of Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Lori Greiner, and Mark Cuban.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to season six? Do you have a favorite shark? How many episodes should the network order?
I love Shark Tank. I watch it faithfully every Friday night. I can’t wait to see what season 6 brings. I laugh at the guest when they think a shark will do a deal with only 10%, like they have all said “10% is not even waking up for”. That my favorite line the Kevin started. But my favorite shark is Marc Cubin. He is always honest, funny and kinda cute for a older guy!!!! Please never cancel this show or I will be heart broken.
Hopefully we will get more than 20 new shows this year and a renewal for next season been long time fan first time comment or.its a great Friday night show to watch with ma lady!!!!!
I would watch it and buy from its advertisers every day if they would produce that many episodes. Great show.
My husband and I love Shark Tank. He always turns it on . We love the concept, we love
the individual sharks, and we will watch it as long as you keep it on. Thanks, Bob and
Dorothy Trimmer
Hopefully, they will order enough that we will be able to get our business on there….
