The Alpha House TV show on Amazon is effectively cancelled, but at yesterday’s TCA press session, Amazon Studio boss Roy Price chose to categorize it as not being a “current” show. That said, there is a chance Garry Trudeau’s Capitol Hill comedy, starring John Goodman, could be renewed for a third season. Matt Malloy, Clark Johnson, Mark Consuelos, Yara Martinez, Julie White, and Alicia Sable, also star.
Should political events inspire another season, assuming the cast and crew were available, Alpha House could return one day in the hazy future. “I like to leave my options open, but I understand what you’re saying,” Deadline reports Price said, in response to critics’ frustration about Alpha House‘s nebulous status.
The second season of Alpha House premiered on Amazon on Friday, October 24, 2014. In January of this year, we reported that Price had met with Trudeau, but that the fate of Alpha House season three still needed to be resolved.

I’ve watched a bunch of the Amazon series, and I think Alpha House is probably the best. Why would you not have a third season? Also, the end of season 2 left you hanging – how cruel!

I just found this marvelous comedy three days ago! Wow! This is one of the best comedies, and the best political comedy that I have EVER seen! How in the heck did this get canceled?!

I tripped up on this series and absolutely and unexpectedly fell in love with it. It shows political processes without being boring or overly comedic. It is funny and intellectual and i really wish the powers that be will be brave enough to keep this show on.
