What’s This TV Show About?
An Amazon Prime Video historical drama, Britannia stars Kelly Reilly, David Morrissey, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Liana Cornell, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, Mackenzie Crook, Barry Ward, Stanley Weber, Joe Armstrong, Fortunato Cerlino, Callie Cooke, Aaron Pierre, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Zoë Wanamaker, Ian McDiarmid, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Hugo Speer, Daniel Caltagirone, Zaqi Ismail, and Annabel Scholey. A century prior, even Julius Caesar failed to conquer Britannia. Now, in 43AD, Emperor Claudius has dispatched General Aulus (Morrissey) with 400 ships bringing 20,000 men to its shores. There, the Romans must deal with warring Cantii and Regni tribes, warrior queens, and the enigmatic Druids.
Britannia has been renewed for a second season on Epix which will debut October 4, 2020. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize its viewership, it is hard to predict whether Amazon will cancel or renew Britannia for season two. Since it is a Sky Atlantic TV series, its success in UK is crucial to whether or not there will be a second season for Amazon to pick up. 3/16/2018 update: Sky Atlantic has renewed Britannia for a second season. Amazon hasn’t announced a cancellation or renewal, but this points to a second season in the US. I’ll update when we hear more from Amazon. Details here.

Please don’t cancel it. It was a wonderful show to watch but if you don’t do a season two I’ll never get my husband to watch a series. I might as well cancel my Amazon Prime.

I eagerly await the release of Britannia Season 2 on Amazon Prime!
I’m waiting and waiting for Amazon to release season two of Britannia. The first season was one of the best series I’ve watched in years. Waiting for season 2 & 3 is miserable. I pay to get my favorite shows. C’mon Amazon… deliver!
We haven’t forgot about Britania. A great TV series that has powerful characters in a plot that twist unpredictable outcomes. Each episode hooks the viewer into binge watching if they’re not careful. So; Amazon we plead on the behalf of millions of viewers to release season 2 on prime video.
According to IMDb, all of season (or series) two was released on Nov 7, 2019, with descriptions for individual episodes. Why isn’t it on Prime Video yet?
Britannia season 1 was a very good series. Hoping season 2 and any other season Amazon Video pick up. Hard to watch just on season. Wish Amazon would pick up Outlander too.
Of course, I want two see season two, three, or any other season. How can I watch it here in the US if Amazon does not review?
