TV show description:
Based on memoirs by Jennifer Worth, this period drama series takes place in the 50s and 60s and revolves around a group of nurse midwives in the Poplar district of London’s poor East End.
Jenny Lee (Jessica Raine) is a new midwife who, thinking she’s taking a midwife job at a small hospital, is shocked to learn she is actually working for the Nonnatus House convent. Having had a privileged childhood, she soon finds out about all the deprivation occurring in the Poplar district — while having to ensure safe deliveries for mothers and care for their newborns.
Good-humoured and monumentally kind, midwife Camilla “Chummy” Cholomondely-Browne (Miranda Hart) is the daughter of a prominent family. She grew up lonely in boarding schools and is crippled by a lack of self-confidence.
Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) is the most experienced of the group. She’s quite devoted to her faith, very practical and often helps mediate disagreements of her co-workers.
Energetic, Sister Evangelina (Pam Ferris) comes from a similar tough background as her patients. Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt) was one of the first women in Britain to become a midwife and also became a nun, actions which have been difficult for her relatives to reconcile.

What do you think? Do you like the Call the Midwife TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
Please keep this show going. Love it
My wife and I both love the show. Please keep it going.
It needs to go on and on. I love it!!
adore Call the Midwife,I need a box of Kleenex every episode. It is a superbly written story, I lost track of it on Netflix and I am thrilled that it will air on PBS. I love all the characters and the progression of time with the families/and expectant mothers and the health care that is always updated according to the time periods.
Best show on TV! Have watched every episode , some twice, thanks to my public library who carry the DVDs. Please don’t cancel!

One show I look forward to. Hoping it will go on for 2017
The series is very heart warming. Very well acted and written. I was very pleased to read that a Christmas special is scheduled for the 25th
Please bring it back. It’s the BEST, R.N.
Please keep this delightful show on the air!! I started to watch on Netflix and could not stop until I had watched the entire series. A avid fan in Houston, Texas.
Please keep this show going. It is a wonderful program. It is one of the many programs on PBS I really enjoy. Please don’t cancel it.
One of the few TV shows I watch. Has it all..humor, caring, compassion, frankness, physical, emotional and mental issues, relations with others. Just the right balance and often as is in real life..some situations and topics cannot and do not have the outcome that we want. An excellent show, writing as well as the actors. Keep this show going indefinitely.
