In seasons three and four, Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart TV show rose significantly in the ratings. Can the Canadian-American TV series maintain or even further increase its viewership in the fifth season? Will When Calls the Heart be cancelled or renewed for season six, or will the story end here? A western family drama, When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner, Martin Cummins, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the Hallmark TV series centers on Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. When she is assigned to teach in a coal country classroom, her life completely changes, particularly when she meets Royal North West Mounted Policie Constable Jack Thornton (Lissing).

Note: Though Hallmark promotes season five as premiering on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 9:00pm ET/PT, the two-hour movie that airing in December 2017 has a season five production number, and Hallmark has included it as part of the fifth season on their website. It’s for these reasons that we’re listing the movie’s ratings as part of season five.
For comparisons: The fourth season of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark averaged a 0.28 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.406 million viewers.

My husband & I love When Calls the Heart and we are shocked that Daniel Lissing has been taken off the show!!! How can that be possible??? Jack & Elizabeth have just begun their marriage and you have written him out of the show??!!! You’ve absolutely ruined it!! It will never be the same!! Please, please bring him back!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Begging!!!!!

When Erin Hayes died on Kiven can Wait,an replaced with his old co star from King of Queens.I never watched one show of season 2 I said they might as well call it King of Queens 2 But this is 10 times worse!!!!! to have one of the main characters DIE in thih mannor is Revolting!!! Such a feel good show to make a complete 360 is beyond comprehension! I will never watch one show from season 6. Shame on all of you. PS I may stop watching Hallmark altogether.

This is a great family show. Please bring Jack back. I don’t think I can watch it if Jack & Elizabeth are not together. They make the show. There has been too much sadness on the ladt two shows.
I am very sad and shocked Jack has been written out it left a void in show as a whole but don’t know how u would bring him back from the dead was it Daniels decision to go ? Love Hallmark and enjoy all the special movies

DANIEL LISSING ALONG SIDE OF ERIN KRAKOW HAVE AN AMAZING CHEMISTRY. I BELIEVE THE PRODUCERS TOOK TOO LONG IN UNITING THEM. A LOT OF VIEWERS WILL NOT WATCH YOUR SHOW IF YOU CANCELL DANIEL LISSING’S ROLL. PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING FOR YOUR VIEWERS. BRING HIM BACK.

My wife and I very much enjoy this show….it is wholesome and carries a family message. Certainly hope it continues and others come across to enjoy as well.
This is a wonderful series! Just discovered it this year and now I am totally hooked!!The characters are just amazing and it is a show the whole family can enjoy! Hope it continues!!
Love this show. I did notice that you have the ratings listed for the 2016 Christmas movie and not the 2017 Christmas movie. Those ratings were 0.52 and 3.605. Also, it was a two hour movie or the first 2 episodes of the season.
Thanks for the note about the ratings mix up. It was a 90-minute movie so we’ve opted to count it as one episode.
You need to renew for season 6! I’m a guy and watch this show. I like When Calls The Heart more than NCIS, and that is saying a lot.
