NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I loved this show and was disgusted to see that
it, like so many good shows, has been replaced
with yet another mindless reality show. The
heroine was a strong, brave and intelligent
woman who had earned the trust and respect
of the colleagues who worked with her. Perhaps
you can find another comedy lead by a dysfunctional
addicted person who embarrasses all who know him.
I will be super pissed if they take Chase off the air for good. It’s the ONE show I actually get excited about watching each week. They need to bring it back or some other network needs to realize what NBC is missing out on! Please pick Chase back up!!
we are tired of the newworks bringing new shows on which we like and start watching and only to find out that they yanked them. this is happening too much. chase is a great show and you are making a big mistake.

My husband and I LOVE this show and can’t believe it is getting cancelled! Every time a GOOD new show comes on it is dropped for a STUPID reality show. No thank you NBC!

They should promote the show more- it’s a great show! I love the show and cannot believe they are cancelling it! It is 100 times better than minute to win it and hawaii 5-0 .
I hope that NBC keep this show it is realy good there isnt any other show to wach on wensdays
That sucks. I liked this show. They could at least play out the season for its fans instead of more of that silly minute-to-win-it stuff. So much for NBC – I guess they’ve only got SVU now.
I guess I will quit watching this network altogether. The reality shows just bore the heck out of me. When reality shows are all thats left then I say goodbye to TV altogether. After you let Law and Order go I thought this show (Chase) was pretty good. I promise you that I will not be watching the newest waste of time Minute to Win it. I love this show. I’m getting to the point where I won’t even give a new show a chance anymore. No point in getting hooked if it’ll be yanked!
